Kumu Kahua Theatre has a unique mission and we are proud of our singularity! However, like so many other theaters in the United States, our ticket prices cover less than half of our annual budgeted income, and we are only modestly funded by the state.
We rely on support and donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations to survive, and we thank this broad community for generously assuring that we are here.
If you are a donor, THANK YOU! Kumu Kahua productions are supported in part by the Hawai'i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts through appropriations from the Legislature of the State of Hawaii, and by the National Endowment for the Arts. Also paid for in part by the taxpayers of the City & County of Honolulu; the Mayor's Office of Culture and the Arts; The Annenberg Foundation; McInerny Foundation (Bank of Hawaii, Trustee); Hawaiian Electric Company; The Star Advertiser and other Foundations, Businesses, and Patrons.
